Pandora on Apple WatchOS6

At WWDC 2019, my work on redesigning Pandora for watchOS6 was shown on the big screen!

As a Pandora user, you can now stream music and podcasts freely on your watch, independent from your iOS app, with the new watchOS6.

For 2 weeks in May 2019, I secretly went down to Apple HQ in Cupertino to work with a single Pandora iOS developer on redesigning our Apple Watch to support the new Streaming Audio API.

The new API would allow for offline playback, which no other audio app on Apple Watch had at the time. It also enabled us to support our Pandora Premium offering for on-demand music.

On February 18th, the watch app was launched for WatchOS6. Press coverage on TechCrunch.
